Free vs Pro: What's Included

UiChemy ships as two plugins: Free and Pro. Pro is a companion plugin that extends Free, not a replacement, both stay installed and active together.

Free Version Includes

• The full Composer widget with two editing tabs: Editor (visual layer editor, in both Design and Developer modes) and Code (the section's HTML). Editing custom CSS and JavaScript in the Code tab is Pro. See Design vs Developer Mode.
• MCP integration, connect Claude, Cursor, or another AI client directly to your site to read, create, and edit pages.
• CSS auto-scoping, so styles never leak outside the widget.
• Animations run on every plan.
• Loops over Posts, using Twig templating.
• 4 dynamic tags: Post Title, Post Image, Post Content, and Post URL.
• Basic form capture, including all form actions (save to database, email, webhook), and viewing submissions in Form Submissions.
• Theme Builder for headers, footers, single posts, and 404 pages.
• SEO, the whole module: meta titles, social previews, schema, sitemaps, redirects, llms.txt, and the site audit. Pro adds nothing here. See SEO.
• Performance Optimizations and Elementor Optimisations: critical CSS, lazy-loaded images, LCP-safe animations, disabling emojis, and trimming Elementor's files. See Performance.
• Custom Fields (Beta): post types, taxonomies, field groups with the core field types, and the five basic location rules. See Custom Fields.
• Up to 2 variable collections, 1 typography class, and 1 other (component) class in Global Style.

Pro Version Adds

• AI Chat, describe a section or change in plain English using your own connected AI.
• Draw & Ask AI, sketch on the page, circle what you want changed, add a note, and let AI rebuild it.
• Custom CSS & JavaScript, scoped CSS and JavaScript for any widget in the Code tab.
• Motion controls, edit animation values from the Animation panel (sliders, easing, timing) without touching code.
• Every other dynamic tag, the rest of the Post fields, plus Term / Category, Site, User, Archive, Request, WooCommerce, ACF, JetEngine, and Custom Field (for UiChemy Custom Fields).
• More loop sources, Products (WooCommerce), Terms / Categories, Users, and an external JSON API.
• Loop pagination, Numbered page links and the Load more button.
• Unlimited Global Style collections and classes, plus Elementor Sync.
• Advanced Theme Builder templates: archive, search, and WooCommerce pages.
• Fonts and Images in Performance: self-host Google Fonts, upload custom fonts, and optimise images to WebP or AVIF with bulk optimise and restore.
• Form export: download submissions as a CSV file from Form Submissions.
• More Custom Fields: Repeater and Relationship fields, conditional logic, more location rules, and the Custom Field dynamic tag to show values in Composer.

Installation

Pro installs as a second, separate plugin alongside Free. If Free isn't installed yet, Pro downloads and activates it for you from wordpress.org. Every Pro feature is unlocked as soon as you activate Pro from the UiChemy Pro Plugin card at the bottom of the UiChemy sidebar. You don't need to enter a licence key to use Pro features. Important Note

Both plugins work together, Pro doesn't replace Free but extends it. Deactivating Pro preserves your existing content but turns off the features listed above until you reactivate it.

Use Cases

• A solo developer building a simple site, Free's Composer widget, MCP integration, and basic Theme Builder are often enough on their own.
• An agency delivering client sites, AI Chat, Role Manager, and White Label on Pro cover client-facing needs Free doesn't.
