Requirements & Compatibility
What you need before installing UiChemy: WordPress, Elementor, PHP, and browser requirements, plus plugin compatibility notes.
UiChemy works with Elementor, Gutenberg (WordPress's built-in editor), and Bricks Builder, install and activate whichever one you use. Everything else below is compatibility context to help you avoid surprises before you install.

UiChemy works with both Elementor Free and Elementor Pro, Elementor Free alone is enough, Elementor Pro is not required.
UiChemy Free vs Pro
UiChemy ships as two plugins: a free plugin and a Pro plugin. Both can be active at the same time, the Pro plugin extends the free one.
When UiChemy Pro is installed and active, the free plugin detects it and hands off control. This means you install both, but Pro takes over for all features. If you deactivate Pro, the free plugin resumes with its own feature set.

The Composer widget works the same way across all three builders. New Theme Builder templates default to the Gutenberg editor, Elementor is only required for certain full-page template types. See Theme Builder Overview.
Theme Compatibility
UiChemy works with any WordPress theme. The Composer widget outputs scoped HTML/CSS that is independent of your active theme's styles. There are no known theme conflicts.
Theme Builder Compatibility
If you use another theme builder, Elementor Pro's Theme Builder, Nexter, or another plugin, UiChemy will detect it and show a conflict notice in the Theme Builder screen:
"Another theme builder is active. UiChemy won't disable it, avoid activating a UiChemy header/footer at the same time to prevent a duplicate."
You can use UiChemy's Theme Builder alongside another, but do not activate a header or footer template in both at the same time or it will appear twice on the front end.
Compatible Plugins
UiChemy's dynamic data system supports these plugins out of the box:

These integrations are optional. None of them are required to use UiChemy.
MCP Client Compatibility
The MCP integration (for connecting Claude, Cursor, or other AI clients) requires:
- UiChemy, no Pro plan needed, MCP is included in Free
- A compatible AI client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible tool)
