UiChemy Custom Fields

Show values from UiChemy's own Custom Fields in Elementor widgets with the Custom Field dynamic tags, from the post, its author, or the current term.

Built your content with UiChemy Custom Fields? Show those values on your pages with three dynamic tags in Elementor, no code needed.

Custom Fields is UiChemy's built-in tool for post types, taxonomies, and field groups. With UiChemy Pro, its field values can be bound to any Elementor control that accepts dynamic data, just like ACF or JetEngine fields.

The Custom Field dynamic tags require UiChemy Pro, and the Custom Fields feature must be turned on in UiChemy → Settings → Features. On the free plan, field values can still be shown through theme templates.

The Custom Field Tags

In the Elementor panel, click the dynamic tag icon on a control and open the Composer · Custom Fields group.

TagUse forField types it lists
Custom FieldText-style valuesText, Textarea, Number, Range, Email, URL, WYSIWYG, Select, Checkbox, Radio, True / False, Date, Date Time, Time, Color

Fields are listed by field group, so you pick them by the names you gave them.

Source

Each tag has a Source setting that decides where the value is read from:

SourceWhat it reads
PostThe field on the current post
Post AuthorThe field on the current post's author
Queried TermThe field on the category, tag, or term being viewed, for archive templates

How Values Show

  • Checkbox and multi-select fields show the selected values joined with a comma.
  • True / False fields show 1 for on and 0 for off.
  • Link and File fields give their URL.
  • Image fields fill the image control directly, ready to use.
  • A field hidden by conditional logic, or a Pro field type without UiChemy Pro, shows nothing.

Example: You have a Team post type with a Profile field group (Job title, Photo, LinkedIn). In a single template, bind a heading to Custom Field → Job title, an image to Custom Field Image → Photo, and a button link to Custom Field URL → LinkedIn. Every team member's page now fills in on its own.

Use Cases

  • Single templates for a custom post type, like Projects or Events, that show each item's own fields.
  • Author boxes that read fields from the post author, like a job title or social link.
  • Category and tag archives that show a field set on the term, like an icon or a banner image.
