Export to WordPress
Send your finished project to WordPress, where it opens in Composer.
Phase 4 of 4: Scope → Sitemap → Design → You are here: Export. Your design is ready. Export sends it directly to your WordPress site.
Once your design is ready in the Design Editor, export it to WordPress with a few clicks. AI Website Creator packages your entire project (pages, sections, content, and styles) and makes it available for import inside WordPress via the UiChemy plugin, where it opens in Composer.

Use Cases
- Handing off a finished design to a developer or client's own hosting. You get native Elementor or Gutenberg pages, not a static export or locked image.
- Re-exporting after revisions. Go back to the Design Editor, make changes, and import the updated version without overwriting existing WordPress content.
- Working across both builders on the same project. Export to Elementor and Gutenberg independently, each export is separate.
Step 1: Download the Plugin
From the Design Editor, click Export in the top-right corner. A modal opens with three tabs, WordPress, Figma, and Other. On the WordPress tab, click Download Plugin to get the UiChemy plugin ZIP file. This step only downloads the plugin. You choose your builder later, inside WordPress.
Figma is coming soon. Other lets you vote for a platform you'd like UiChemy to support next (React, Bricks, Divi, Gutenberg Core, Webflow, Framer, Wix, or a custom name).
Step 2: Install the Plugin on WordPress
Upload the plugin
In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add Plugin > Upload Plugin. Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now.
Activate the plugin
Click Activate Plugin once the upload finishes.
Log in
In your WordPress sidebar go to UiChemy → Home, then open the AI Website Creator tab. You'll see "Connect your UiChemy account", click Log in to continue and sign in with the same credentials you use on your UiChemy dashboard.
The button briefly shows "Connecting...", then redirects you to a "Secure sign-in to UiChemy" confirmation screen. Click Allow, and you're sent back to WordPress, now showing your projects under the AI Website Creator tab.
Not logged in yet? Step 3 (importing your project) only becomes available once this login completes. If the AI Website Creator tab still shows "Connect your UiChemy account" instead of your projects, finish this step first.
Step 3: Import Your Project
Builder and page selection happen here, inside the plugin.
Select Your Project
Your exported projects appear in the AI Website Creator tab, with a Search projects bar to find one by name. Click the project you want to import. Haven't exported anything yet? The tab shows "No projects yet", export from the Design Editor first.
Use the same email and password you use to log in at app.uichemy.com. The plugin uses the same account to match your exported projects.
Choose Your Builder
A "Choose Your Builder" popup opens: "Select the builder you want to import this website into." Pick Elementor or Gutenberg, then click Next.
Select What to Import
The "Select What to Import" screen lists every page from your project, grouped into tabs:
- All, everything at once.
- Static Pages, your regular content pages (for example, Home, Menu, About Us).
- Theme Builder, templates like Blog Detail Page, Search Results Page, and Author Page.
- Legal Pages, Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Each tab shows a count (for example, "Static Pages 9"), and a counter in the top right tracks your total selection (for example, "17 of 17 Pages Selected"). Use the Search pages... box to find one by name.
Each group has its own checkbox to select or clear every page in it at once, plus an expand arrow to show or hide its individual pages. Every page has its own checkbox, so you can fine-tune the selection within a group too.
Advanced Configurations
An "Advanced Configurations" section, collapsed by default, adds setup options beyond page selection:
- Required Plugins, plugins your project needs (for example, Elementor), shown with a checkmark.
- A recommended theme (for example, "Nexter WP Theme"), with a note: "For the best experience, the [theme] is recommended. Feel free to skip it if you're already running a lightweight, bloat-free theme."
- Reset Previous Content Before Import, an opt-in checkbox: "Your current content moves to draft, not deleted."
- SEO, Performance, and Security options, marked Coming Soon, not yet available.
Click Back to return to the builder choice, or Import [N] pages (the count matches your current selection) to start.
Run the Import
An "Importing your design" screen tracks progress with a percentage bar and four phases, each marked Waiting or Done:
- Installed Plugins & Theme, adding the theme and required plugins.
- Importing Site Content, bringing in media, posts, menus, and styles.
- Setting Up Pages & Layout, building each page from your design.
- Finalizing Settings, applying plugin and theme configuration.
Each page is built in your chosen builder as it completes, and lands as an editable Composer.
Learn Composer
Once imported, each page opens as a native, editable Composer, not a flat export or a locked image. For everything on working inside it, Editor tab, Chat AI tab, Code tab, Global Style, Theme Builder, and more, head to the Composer tab:
Limitations
- Only Elementor and Gutenberg are supported. Other builders are request-only, via the Export modal's Other tab.
- The plugin has to be manually installed and activated on each WordPress site, there's no one-click connect.
- Your WordPress login must match your app.uichemy.com account, a mismatch means your exported projects won't appear.
