Text Editing
Edit copy inline or in the Text panel, set element styles and links, and review AI rewrites before applying them.
Edit text directly when you know what to say. Use the Text panel for a longer passage or a local style change, and use AI text tools when you want help rewriting the selected copy.

Edit Text Inline
Double-click editable text on the canvas to enter direct editing. Type your replacement copy in the selected element. Keep headings short enough to fit at phone width.
The inline AI control is separate from manual editing. Its Edit directly action returns you to direct text editing. Starting to type closes the AI popup so the two editing modes do not compete.
Use the Text Panel
Selecting editable text opens Text in the editing sidebar. The large Text content field lets you change the selected copy with a live preview.
| Control | What it does | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Text content | Edits the selected copy | Editable text |
| Rewrite | Rephrases the copy | AI action |
| Shorten | Makes the copy more concise | AI action |
| Expand | Adds detail to the copy | AI action |
| Level | Heading 1 through Heading 6, or Paragraph | When the selected element supports changing its level |
| Alignment | Align left, center, or right | Supported local style overrides |
| Size | Auto or a site type-scale slot | Uses responsive scale values rather than a fixed pixel field |
| Color | Auto or a named available color role | When color choices are available |
| Link | Sets a destination | When the selected element is linkable |
| New tab | Opens the link in a new tab | Link controls |
Auto in Size and Color means the element inherits the site's styling. A local override is useful for one exception, but site-wide font and type-scale changes belong in Styles.
Not every selected element exposes every control. Imported content, buttons, and badges can have different capabilities.
Buttons and Badges
Selecting a button label opens Button rather than the ordinary text panel. Edit the label in Text content, then choose the button Type. Apply to section applies the selected role to buttons in that section. Reset button returns to the template's button role; it does not reset the entire site design.
Selecting a badge opens Badge. Its Design chooses the local badge treatment. Apply to section gives the section's badges that design, and Reset badge returns to the site's badge design.
The site-wide button, badge, and card design pickers remain separate. A local role or design change does not replace all of the site's component presets.
Links and New Tabs
The Link field accepts destinations such as a full HTTPS URL, a relative page path, an email link, or a telephone link.

Use New tab for an external destination when appropriate. Test navigation in preview rather than clicking a link on the editing canvas. Changing a link does not verify that the destination exists.
Inline AI Text Popup
Open the inline AI control on the selected text. You can choose a quick action or enter your own instruction and use Generate.
| Quick action | What it asks AI to do |
|---|---|

Copy-Ready Prompt Examples
Make a Heading Clearer
Rewrite this heading in plain English for small business owners.
Keep it under eight words. Preserve the service being offered.
Do not add a guarantee, price, or claim that is not already in the text.
Shorten a Paragraph
Shorten this paragraph to two sentences.
Keep the onboarding steps and the support contact.
Use a warm, professional tone and remove repeated ideas.
Improve a Call to Action
Rewrite this call to action so it invites the reader to book a consultation.
Keep the button label short. Do not invent a free offer or a time-limited promotion.
Editing Scope and Checks
The popup rewrites the selected copy, not the whole page. Use a section or page regeneration action only when you want that broader scope.
After editing, check headings, repeated labels, links, and phone layout. Where text elements share the same template key, a local style override can affect matching text elsewhere. Do not assume every visible instance always has a unique style key.
