AI AgentsPermissions and Models

Agent Permissions and Models

Understand Manual and Bypass approval boundaries, the Design model picker, and the agent credit-limit card.

Permission modes control a small set of action confirmations, not whether the agent can edit at all. Model selection controls the Design agent's AI model, not every AI operation in UiChemy.

The option descriptions are Confirms deletion and AI regeneration. for Manual, and Skips regeneration confirmation. Still confirms deletion. for Bypass.

Manual is not a preview-only mode. Its regeneration check is specific to section and page regeneration operations. It does not mean every AI call, new section, rewrite or credit-spending task asks first. Agent replies can still consume credits without a confirmation.

The mode is saved for the project in your current browser. It is not an account-wide team permission. A previously saved legacy automatic-approval preference can resolve to Bypass. The Site map chat uses the same project approval rule, although its current composer does not render the Design permission selector.

Read the Confirmation Before Approving

Check the affected content

Read the page and section names. A grouped action lists multiple changes in one question.

Accept or cancel

Design uses Delete for a deletion and Rewrite for a regeneration approval, plus Cancel. Approving a grouped turn can run the queued changes too.

Inspect the result

Confirm the intended content changed. Use undo where supported, but keep important work safe before deleting it.

The section-deletion tool requires a section name rather than a bare position. Say "delete the Home Testimonials section", not just "delete section three". Deletion never becomes silently approved by choosing Bypass.

For a targeted regeneration request:

Regenerate the copy in the Home hero section. Keep the existing section layout.

Read the actual action confirmation if one appears. A Copywriter text edit can apply immediately even when a structural regeneration would ask.

Choose a Design Model

Open the model picker beside the send control in the Design chat. These are its current choices:

ChoiceApplies to
Claude Sonnet 5Design chat, including its specialist personas
Claude Opus 5Design chat, including its specialist personas
GPT-5Design chat, including its specialist personas
GPT-5 MiniDesign chat, including its specialist personas
DeepSeek V4 ProDesign chat, including its specialist personas
DeepSeek V4 FlashDesign chat, including its specialist personas

The same curated list is used for section generation. Supporting AI steps can use their own defaults, so choosing a model does not switch all background calls to it.

Site Planner uses a fixed service model rather than this Design selection. The current Site map composer does not expose a working model selector. Do not expect a Design model choice to change the sitemap service model. Automatic handoffs keep your selected model; they do not automatically upgrade it for a bigger request.

Start with the default. Change models when you want to try another result, not because a model name guarantees a particular feature, speed or quality. Models can interpret the same prompt differently.

Agent Switching Is a Different Setting

Ask before switching is in the agent roster menu. It affects automatic handoffs, not permission to change content. Same-chat Design specialist switches can happen immediately. A cross-tab handoff can show a countdown with Stay here. Turning off the switching preference does not bypass deletion approval.

Credits and the Limit Card

Agent work uses your account's AI credits. Cost varies with the model and work performed. Routing a request through the Project Lead is not itself charged, but the specialist's AI work can be.

When a Design reply says you are out of AI credits, it can show the AI credits card if the account has a positive total credit allocation. The collapsed card shows used credits, total allocation and a percentage. Expand it for:

  • Used: consumed credits.
  • Left on your plan: available plan credits.
  • Top-ups: purchased credits.
  • Credits used: the usage bar, with a reset date when the balance supplies one.
  • Add credits: a link to the billing route.

This is account balance information, not token context remaining, a per-message quote or a spending cap you can set for one agent. Billing visibility can differ by account. For plan rules, use Credits and Limits.
