Build a WooCommerce Store with AI
Ask your AI tool to build a WooCommerce store on your WordPress site with UiChemy Pro: products, variations, prices, stock, payments, shipping, coupons, and a readiness check before launch.
Describe the shop you want, and your AI tool builds it for you over UiChemy MCP: the products, their prices and stock, the cart and checkout pages, payment methods, shipping, and coupons. Then it checks the store can actually take an order before it tells you it's done.
Pro: building a store over MCP uses the store ability, which comes with the UiChemy Pro plugin. See Free vs Pro.
Why It Matters
- A whole catalog in minutes: your AI tool can create many products in one go, with copy, prices, categories, and images, instead of you entering them one by one.
- A store that really sells: a readiness check catches the silent problems that make a finished-looking shop unable to take money, like no payment method or products with no price.
- Your design, WooCommerce's checkout: product pages and shop listings are designed with UiChemy, while the cart and checkout keep WooCommerce's own purchase flow.
Use Cases
- Launching a new shop from a brief: "Build a coffee shop with 12 products in three categories."
- Filling in a half-built store: ask what's missing, then let the AI fix each gap.
- Bulk edits: update prices, stock, or images across many products, including every variation of a variable product.
What You Need
- UiChemy and UiChemy Pro active on your site.
- WooCommerce installed and active. Without it, your AI tool tells you to activate WooCommerce first.
- Your AI tool connected over UiChemy MCP with an Administrator account. See Set Up AI to WordPress.
How It Works
Ask for the store
Describe the shop: what you sell, how many products, categories, and how people pay and get their orders.
Example prompt: "Build a coffee shop with 12 products in three categories. Make the grinder a variable product with three sizes. Turn on cash on delivery, add free shipping in my country, and create a 10% WELCOME coupon. Tell me if anything still stops people from checking out."
It checks the store first
The AI starts with a full read of the store: currency, pages, products, categories, payment methods, and shipping. It gets back a list of gaps, each with the exact fix.
It builds the catalog
Products are created in one batch. Variable products get their attributes first, then every combination is built as a variation, so each option can be added to the cart.
It sets up checkout
The AI creates any missing cart, checkout, or My Account page, turns on payment methods, sets up shipping zones, and adds coupons.
It checks again
Before calling the store done, the AI runs the readiness check again. When nothing is left that blocks checkout, the store can take orders.
What You Can Ask For
| Area | What the AI can do |
|---|---|
| Store check | Report currency, base location, page assignments, product counts, categories, attributes, payment methods, and shipping zones, plus what's missing |
| Products | Create many products at once, or create, update, find, and read one. Delete asks for confirmation first, and moves the product to the trash unless you ask for it to be deleted for good |
| Prices and stock | Set regular and sale prices, stock, SKUs, and backorders, on a product or on each variation |
| Images | Set the featured image and gallery from image links or your media library. Images from links are downloaded into your media library |
| Variations | Add attributes, like size or color, and build every combination as a buyable variation |
| Categories and tags | Create product categories, tags, brands, and attribute values |
| Store settings | Set currency, base location, units, the product link base, and create missing cart, checkout, and My Account pages |
| Payments | Turn on payment methods. Cash on delivery, bank transfer, and check payments are set up fully |
| Shipping | Create shipping zones, their regions, and their methods |
| Coupons | Create or update discount codes, limited to products or categories by name |
The Readiness Check
The check sorts every problem by how much it matters:
| Level | Examples |
|---|---|
| Blocker (checkout can't complete) | No published products, no cart, checkout, or My Account page, no payment method turned on, physical products with no shipping method |
| Warning (works, but looks unfinished) | No shop page, products without an image, products without a price (they have no add-to-cart button), no store base location |
| Notice | Products with no real categories, no UiChemy template yet for the single product or shop page |
The same store findings also show up when your AI tool runs the site-wide audit, so a launch check covers the shop too.
Card payments need your keys. Your AI tool can turn on gateways like Stripe or PayPal, but it never asks for or enters API keys. Add them yourself in WooCommerce → Settings → Payments. A gateway with no keys fails at checkout.
Designing the Store
The store ability handles store data. How the shop looks is built with the same abilities as the rest of your site:
- Product page and shop page: your AI tool builds them as WooCommerce templates in the UiChemy Theme Builder, with live product data from WooCommerce Data.
- Cart, checkout, and My Account: UiChemy keeps WooCommerce's own purchase flow on these pages. Your AI tool designs the layout around it with WooCommerce placeholders, so payments and order updates keep working.
