Clone Site to WordPress
Clone any website into WordPress with UiChemy, using Claude to make the connection.
You don't need to have built the site yourself, or even have its source files. Point Claude at any website you like, have it clone the design, then bring that clone into WordPress the same way as any other AI build.
Cloning happens in Claude itself, there's no separate "Clone Site" tool with its own MCP. Use the steps below: clone the site in Claude, download the result, then hand it to Claude (or another supported MCP client) to bring into WordPress.
Why It Matters
A cloned page looks done, then you try to ship it. Claude hands you a copy of the markup, but a website you own is something else, your own host, your own plugins, a CMS that grows with you. Left as-is, that gap shows up three ways:
- You build it twice. Getting a cloned copy into WordPress usually means rebuilding it section by section, by hand.
- It stays static. It's frozen at whatever text the clone copied, no blog posts, no products, no CMS data flowing in.
- It has no SEO layer. No per-page titles, descriptions, or social previews, and raw file paths instead of clean, readable URLs.
UiChemy closes that gap in one push: it rebuilds the same design as native WordPress blocks, on your domain, in the builder you already use.
How It Works
The steps. Converting a cloned site to WordPress takes five steps.
Clone your website in Claude
Attach the site you want (or give Claude its URL), run a cloning prompt, check the result matches the original, then download the project as a ZIP.
Claude's cloning prompt names the target site and asks for a clean, self-contained, editable static project that matches the original's visual hierarchy, layout, typography, spacing, and colors.
Install the UiChemy plugin
Search for UiChemy in the WordPress plugin library, then install and activate it.
Connect the UiChemy MCP
In AI Agent (MCP), generate a connection, pick your AI tool, and run the prompt in Claude. Verify it's connected and you're set. See Claude Desktop for the config and save path.
Convert to WordPress
Attach the cloned ZIP and ask Claude to convert it over the UiChemy MCP, with each section landing as a UiChemy Composer.
Example prompt: "Take the attached cloned site ZIP. Connect to my WordPress over the UiChemy MCP and, using UiChemy Composer, move the whole site in: recreate every page section by section; put the header, footer and any blog/archive/single templates into the Theme Builder; keep colors, typography and spacing as global styles; import native and editable in Elementor (or Gutenberg). When done, list the pages you created."
Edit in UiChemy Composer
Restyle, rewrite and rearrange any section visually or by prompt. No code needed.

Benefits
- Simplest, safest flow. One plugin, one connection, then prompt it to publish, fewer moving parts than a copy-paste stack of exported code, a code plugin, and patch-it-by-hand fixes.
- Lightweight output. Clean, semantic HTML with none of the wrapper-heavy bloat typical page builders add, pages stay fast.
- Your choice of builder. Publish into Elementor or Gutenberg today, with Bricks coming soon, your build lands as native, editable elements in whichever you already use.
What You Get
Once your cloned site lands in WordPress through UiChemy, you unlock the rest of the platform, not just a page:
- Client-editable, role-controlled. Hand off to clients and teammates, they edit visually with a full role manager, no code required. See Role Manager Overview.
- Dynamic content and loops. Bind live data and repeat layouts, post grids, product listings, anything data-driven, instead of static placeholder text.
- ACF and custom fields. Structured content with Advanced Custom Fields, ready to wire into any template.
- Theme Builder. Design headers, footers, archives, and single templates that apply site-wide. See Theme Builder Overview.
- Forms and SEO. Native forms plus RankMath or Yoast, with schema, meta tags, and XML sitemaps built in.
- White-label and long-term CMS. Rebrand the editor and grow on a real CMS for years, instead of staying frozen at launch.
