How to Tag the Text Editor Widget for Figma to Elementor?
Tag a paragraph or long text layer in your Figma design as the Elementor Text Editor widget using UiChemy.
Have longer paragraphs in your Figma design? You can tag a text layer as the Elementor Text Editor widget using the UiChemy plugin, so it's easy to edit as rich text in Elementor after export.
What Can Be Tagged?
A single text layer can be tagged as a Text Editor widget.
How to Tag?
To do this, open the plugin and choose Classic Mode, then pick one of two options: Step by Step Method or Quick Conversion. This example uses the Step by Step Method.
-
First, choose Classic Mode, select the Step by Step Method, and click the Start button.
-
Select the top-level page or frame of your layout, then click the Next button. On Optimize Multi-Layer Media, click Lock on any flagged layers (or Lock All), then click Next.
-
Under the Widget Tagging Mode tab, select the Manual Widget Tagging option.
-
Next, under the Manage Auto Layout tab, you'll see two options: It's already in Auto Layout and Convert to Auto Layout. This example uses the first option.
-
After that, under the Tag Widgets tab, select the text layer you want to tag. Then search for the Text Editor widget in the UiChemy panel and select it. Here you'll see all the supported Elementor widgets.
-
There are no extra fields for this widget. You'll see a note that you don't need to answer any questions, so just click the Save button. You'll then see a Tagged successfully message.
You don't always need to tag paragraphs by hand. In Conversion Settings, Minimum Words to Tag as Text Editor (10 by default) converts longer text to a Text Editor widget automatically. See Conversion Settings.
Now, if you export the design, that text will use the Text Editor widget.
