How Do I Fix Common AI Express Mode Issues?
Common issues when converting Figma designs with AI Express Mode, and how to fix them.
Something not working as expected? Find your situation below.
The plugin won't let me start the conversion
- Select the main frame. AI Express Mode converts from the top-level design frame. If you selected an inner layout or nested element, go back and select the main frame.
- Put your design in Auto Layout. AI Express Mode works best on optimized, auto-layout designs and checks for this before converting. Fix your file first if the check fails. See Design Optimization.
My site won't connect
- Generate a fresh Connection Link in the UiChemy dashboard and paste the new one into the plugin, the link is shown only once and can't be reused if lost.
- Make sure the latest UiChemy plugin is installed and active on WordPress and that you're logged in. See Connect Your Site.
- On a live site, confirm you have SSL (https) enabled.
The page seems stuck while analyzing or converting
Large or complex frames can take longer to process. If it's been several minutes with no progress, click Stop and try again with a smaller frame, or check your connection and retry.
The result isn't quite what I expected
AI Express Mode reads and rebuilds your design, so results are close, though not always perfect on complex layouts. You don't have to start over:
- Describe the fix to Chat AI in plain language.
- Adjust structure and styling by hand in the Editor tab.
- Start from a cleaner design. A well-optimized source design converts more accurately, see Design Optimization.
The converted section isn't showing on my page
Make sure the plugin that provides the Composer is installed and active on your WordPress site, then reopen the page in the Elementor editor.
