Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication
Add a 6-digit authenticator code to your sign-in for extra security.
Two-factor authentication adds a layer of security beyond your password. Once it's on, UiChemy requires a 6-digit code every time you sign in with email and password.
Benefits
With it on, a stolen or guessed password alone isn't enough to get into your account, whoever's signing in also needs access to your email inbox. That's a meaningful step up if your UiChemy account holds paid credits, connected WordPress sites, or client projects.
Turning It On
Go to Account Settings, scroll to Two-Factor Authentication, and click Enable 2FA.
Confirm your password
A dialog opens: Enable two-factor authentication. UiChemy will email a 6-digit code to your account email each time you sign in. Enter your password to confirm.
Click Enable 2FA
Click Enable 2FA in the dialog, or Cancel to back out.
Save your backup codes
A Save your backup codes dialog shows your codes. Each code works once and lets you sign in if you can't get your code. You won't see them again, so click Copy or Download .txt, store them somewhere safe, then click Done.
Managing It Later
Once two-factor is on, the section shows Two-factor is on with two buttons:
- Regenerate codes: confirm your password, then click Generate new codes. Your old backup codes stop working immediately.
- Disable 2FA: confirm your password in the Disable two-factor authentication dialog and click Disable 2FA. You'll only need your password to sign in afterward.
Two-factor authentication applies to email and password sign-in. If you sign in with Google, Facebook, Posimyth Store, or a passkey, that provider's own security applies instead.
